Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop teaching material based mindscape on the benua subtheme , and 2) determine the feasibility of teaching material based mindscape on the continent subtheme for students PGSD UAD. Type of this research use the procedures of research and development (R & D). This study adapted the ADDIE model which it has five stages in the development. Stages include Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. R&D is a process or steps to develop a new product. Based on the need analysis of teaching materials, the students needed material containing the continent subthemes which is displayed with mindscape, short and concise and conveying the learning objectives implicitly. The teaching material was packaged using a size of B5 using font of cambria 11 and colourful cover. It was conveyed using good, correct, and communicative language and appropriate to The Perfect Spelling System. Subjects research trial was students PGSD UAD in the academic year of 2016/2017 consisting of 10 students from class IVB on small group test. The instruments were an interview guidline, feasibility assessment sheet teaching material based mindscape, and an observation sheet. The data collecting techniques include interviews, product assessment and observations. Techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis and use of the score conversion to the qualitative data for feasibility. The results of one to one trial from experts and colleagues showed teching material based mindscape on the continent subtheme fit for use with “very feasible” category. Small group trial get positive respond as “very good” criteria.
